Everyone loves SUVs – their rugged design, the powerful performance and the overall thrill that they carry with themselves. A lot of manufacturers are developing SUVs today and these cars come in a lot of forms these days. There is a fair number of cars that would be coming up in 2020 and a lot of people are thrilled about it. Among them, the most revered models are MG ZS EV, Kia QYI and the 2020 Mahindra Thar. Some of these cars have been spotted undergoing tests in their camouflaged makeover. Let us take a look at these SUV cars in India which would soon be available to the public.

#1 2020 Mahindra Thar

Mahindra has bid farewell to the first generation of Thar. The Thar 700 limited edition is in production at present. The next-generation Thar is doing some test rounds and it would be showcased at the upcoming Auto Expo. It is expected that the That would create a 2.0-litre diesel engine that is compliant with the BS emission norms. The car would offer 320 Nm of torque and 140 Ps of power. The interiors of the Thar has revealed that there would be a 6-speed manual gearbox. There are stylish wide fenders on the outside and some major revampings. It is quite likely that the car would have a premium cost, somewhere around Rs. 10 lakh.

#2 MG ZS EV

The second offering from MG would be the much-awaited ZS EV in India. It is among the most desired new SUV cars that the Indians would witness in 2020. The price tag of the car would certainly be more than Rs. 25 lakh. The car has a 45.6-kWh battery pack and it can offer a maximum range of 428 km. The electric motor would be offering 150 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque. The automaker is further improving the infrastructure in the country before it debuts in December. The launch would be sometime in early 2020. Features would include cruise control, panoramic sunroof, a climate control equipped with an air filter among various others.

#3 Kia QYI

Almost every manufacturer is trying to put a sub-compact SUV in the market. The cars measuring less than 4m in length demand fewer taxes and this leads to greater desirability. The most crowded segment is the sub-4m space and EcoSport was the first one to barge in here. Kia is the latest entrant in the market and the QYI is the sub-compact SUV from their workshops. It is expected that the car would be launched a few months after the Carnival MPVs make a debut. It is quite likely that QYI would be based on the Venue model from the carmaker. The car has been spied testing in India and it looks very similar to the Kia Stonic from the international markets. The price can be expected to lie between Rs. 6.8 lakh to Rs. 11.4 lakh.
